A painting of birch trees in winter by Donna AllenThe Lone Mountain Artists — Donna Allen, Evelien Bachrach, Judy Badot, Carole-Anne Centre, Gundy Khouw, Rita Klug, Maria M. Mead, and Martine Villalard-Bohnsack — meet weekly at the Harris Center to practice their craft, exchange ideas and techniques, and celebrate their longstanding friendship. You can learn more about them at lonemountainartists.com.

Their Harris Center exhibit — Connecting to Nature — features works depicting nature as seen from eight different perspectives and interpretations, all inspired by their connection to nature and to the Harris Center. Using a variety of media including watercolor, oil, color pencils, pastels, photography, and pen and ink, each artist captures her own vision of the natural world, ranging from the serious to the whimsical and from the traditional to the exploratory.

This exhibit runs from October 9 through November 30, 2020 in the Thelma Babbitt Room. The artists will hold an opening reception on Friday, October 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.
