Jim Hassinger takes in a grand mountainside view.Jim has enjoyed exploring the wilds of the Monadnock Region for the past 25 years. After completing business degrees at the University of New Hampshire and Boston University, he led canoeing, skiing, and hiking expeditions for Outward Bound. Since then, Jim’s career has focused on providing leadership and organizational development consulting services in both the public and private sectors.

Jim’s interest in the important mission of the Harris Center began when his children attended our summer camp. As a lifetime advocate for wilderness preservation, he has served on the Peterborough Open Space and Master Plan Steering Committees, and is currently the Treasurer of the Peterborough Human Services Fund, which operates the Peterborough Food Pantry.

Jim’s other interests include gardening, photography, and glass blowing. He and his wife, Christine Mann, particularly enjoy meandering down to the beaver pond below Thumb Mountain with their dog, Simon.
