Join Harris Center naturalist Susie Spikol to explore, wander, and discover the magic of nearby nature. These pint-sized adventures are perfect for little legs and for babies in front packs, backpacks, slings, or wraps — and a great way to meet other families with little ones who love spending time outside.

Explore the looping trails at McCabe Forest, where the Contoocook River winds quietly along the eastern edge of the property. Paths through the floodplain forest reveal graceful silver maples overhead and lush ostrich ferns below, shaped by seasonal spring floods. Gentle terrain and shady stands of hemlock make this a pleasant walk on warm days, while the mix of habitats offers great opportunities for wildlife watching.
