Join David Sobel and Jennifer Kramer for a 10.5-mile ride through Hancock and Harrisville, with 800 feet of elevation gain and gorgeous views of pastures, ponds, marshes, big boulders, and more. We’ll start in Hancock Village, head south to Half Moon Pond and Sargent Camp, and over into the eastern part of Harrisville to Eastview. Then we’ll head back to Hancock via Jaquith and Old Dublin Roads. This beautiful route is a favorite loop in the Monadnock Region — due, in part, to the fact that it traverses lots of conservation land protected by the Harris Center, which we’ll talk about during a few well-timed stops. Best suited for hybrid or mountain bikes. A cold water dip in Norway Pond is possible after the ride.

10 a.m. to noon in Hancock and Harrisville. Rain date: October 11.

Space is limited, and registration is required. Please read our COVID-19 outing guidelines before registering to be sure this is the right event for you. To register, please fill out this online form, and we’ll be in touch with exact location and other information.
