Join naturalists Phil Brown and Susie Spikol for a morning of birding at MacDowell Lake, where a hard-packed gravel path along the lake provides ample opportunity to enjoy birds of wetland and woodland alike. The peak of songbird migration will be in full swing, and we’ll look and listen for warblers, vireos, flycatchers, waterfowl, raptors, and more. Bring binoculars, or borrow a pair from us.
Birding for All outings are designed for people of all abilities, including those who experience accessibility challenges as a result of a disability or other health concern. Beginning birders and all ages are welcome!
Meet at 9 a.m. in the lower parking lot for MacDowell Lake in Peterborough. Back by 11 a.m. Space is limited and registration is full. Limited accessible parking is located near the beach (past the dam and park office). For more detailed accessibility information about this site, see this listing on the Birdability map.
