Book Talk: America is Wild! with Brad Timm

Discover the wild side of America with wildlife ecologist and author Brad Timm as he shares his new book, America Is Wild! Through vivid illustrations and fascinating facts about nearly 400 species, this beautiful encyclopedia celebrates the incredible diversity of life across the U.S., highlighting four animals and four plants from each state. Designed for curious minds and nature lovers of all ages, Brad’s lively presentation will inspire a deeper appreciation for the wildlife and plants around us, and take us on a virtual journey across the country — just in time for the summer road trip season.

About Brad Timm
Brad is a wildlife ecologist, author, and founder of the Northeast Wildlife Team, an organization dedicated to helping people better understand — and help — the natural world around them. He is the author of America is Wild!, an illustrated state-by-state encyclopedia of animals and plants of the United States, and of the Wildlife Out Your Window regional book series, which invites readers to discover the hidden lives of the wildlife they see every day.
Brad holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Wildlife Conservation from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and has published extensively in scientific journals. These days, he splits his time between writing wildlife books and leading wildlife presentations for a range of audiences. When he’s not working, Brad can usually be found hiking local trails, saltwater fishing, or spending time outdoors with friends and loved ones.
