ESI: Transitions — A Nature Poetry Writing Workshop
Harris Center & local field sites 83 King's Highway, HancockAs nature makes a dramatic transition from the quietude of winter to the new life of spring, parallel changes may occur in our own lives. In this workshop facilitated by poet Brian Evans-Jones, we’ll explore this phenomenon by observing the natural world and writing our own poetry in a small, supportive group.
Nature Mandala Workshop
Join local environmental artist Sarah Wilson for this morning workshop to learn some tips and techniques for creating outdoor mandalas using only natural materials. Once we’ve gone over the basics, we’ll work as a group to make one large mandala, leaving our creation for others to enjoy as wind, sun, rain, and local critters slowly reclaim it.
Vernal Pool Project Workshop
Join Harris Center ecologist Brett Amy Thelen for this hands-on introduction to vernal pool documentation, with special focus on identifying amphibian egg masses.
