Join avid hikers Ben Haubrich and Mary Verrilli for a gentle, 2.5-mile roundtrip walk along old roads and wooded trails on conserved land in Francestown. Along the way, we’ll follow a meandering brook and pause to explore nearby beaver ponds. Our route will have minimal elevation gain, except for one short, steep climb to the top of an esker (a ridge formed by an ancient glacial deposit). Dress for the weather and conditions, including sun and biting insects.
