Mer Wyzga strikes a yoga pose on the side of a mountain.

Immerse yourself in the sounds, scents, and sensations of five summer evenings as we explore nature within and around us through yoga. Embody bird flight, insect hum, and the rootedness of trees. Refresh your mind and lighten up your day through a combination of quiet reflection and gentle, fluid movements. Variations will be offered to suit beginners and seasoned yogis alike.

This class will meet on Wednesdays, August 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Harris Center. Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a mat and towel or blanket, plus blocks and a strap if you have them. Insect repellent and water are recommended. In the event of rain, the class will move indoors.

Cost: $50 for Harris Center supporters / $70 for all others

Instructor: Marilyn (Mer) Wyzga’s love of education, art, and movement intersect in nature. She’s danced on top of Mount Monadnock, created theater with kids in Robin Hood Park, and led forest bathing experiences with Susie Spikol throughout the region. Mer enrolled in her first yoga class to earn a college gym credit, serendipitously sparking a lifetime of practice. Now a certified Yoga for All instructor and Yoga Alliance registered teacher, Mer brings years of environmental education and a playful spirit to her teaching.

Space is limited, and registration is required. For questions about registration, please contact Miles Stahmann. For other questions, contact Susie Spikol.
