Red squirrels and chipmunks: common. Mink, skunk, otter: all occasional. But the sighting of a wild poem within its native landscape…this may be one of the rarest encounters of the year! What sort of an animal is a poem? Is it predatory? What do I do when I meet one? What is its life cycle? Join local poet and naturalist Henry Walters to read and discuss poetry that takes its cue from the flora and fauna of New Hampshire and beyond. Our Zoom sessions will be a low-pressure, unfussy forum for us to meet new poems as well as some old favorites, asking of each whether it shows us a part of the natural world we can recognize.

This group will meet Wednesdays, December 2, 9 & 16, from 7 to 8 p.m. via Zoom.

Cost: $20 for Harris Center supporters / $30 all others

Space is limited to 15 participants, and registration is required. For more information and to register, please contact Miles Stahmann at (603) 525-3394 or by email.
