Join Stan Smith for a moderately strenuous hike along the North Branch, following one of John Kulish’s favorite hunting routes. We’ll start on Salmon Brook Road and follow an old logging road for a quarter-mile, then bushwhack to the North Branch and follow it upriver to the spillway of an old mill. From there, we’ll bushwhack to the old Keene-Concord Road and take it back to our point of origin. Expect to hike about 5 to 6 hours, with 30% on trail and approximately 100 foot of elevation gain.

Bring lunch, and meet at 9 a.m. at the historic Stone Arch Bridge on Route 9 in Stoddard. Back by 3 p.m. Space is limited, and registration is required. To register, please fill out this online form.
