Motus: A Revolution in Migration Research

Tuesday, October 27, 2020,
5:30 pm
to 6:30 pm

  • This event has passed.

Join Carol Foss, NH Audubon’s Senior Advisor for Science and Policy, for an introduction to the Motus Wildlife Tracking System — a new research network that is revolutionizing the study of winged migration by tracking the movements of small birds, bats, and even dragonflies who have been fitted with tiny radio transmitters (nanotags).  Carol will discuss how Motus works, what we’re learning from it, and efforts that are underway to expand the network in the Northeast. We’ll also share details about a new Motus station that is being installed on Harris Center-conserved land in Stoddard, with support from our 50th Anniversary Fund.

5:30 to 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. To get the login details, please register here.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and NH Audubon.
