Nature For All: An Accessible, Inclusive Nature Outing at Crotched Mountain
Monday, September 21, 2026,
10:00 am to 12:00 pm

Join Harris Center naturalists Phil Brown and Susie Spikol for a leisurely, 2-mile roundtrip nature walk on Crotched Mountain’s all-persons Gregg Trail. We’ll search for signs of seasonal change as we make our way along this hard-packed trail, which features both panoramic views and woodland meanders. At the top, we’ll also scan the skies for migrating hawks. If we’re lucky, we may catch a good raptor migration day from this high vantage point.
The total elevation gain for this hike is 157 feet, never exceeding an 8% grade. Nature for All outings are designed for people of all abilities, including those who experience accessibility challenges as a result of a disability or other health concern. Beginning nature enthusiasts welcome! Bring water and binoculars (or borrow a pair from us), and dress for the weather. This site is wheelchair-accessible.
10 a.m. to noon at the Crotched Mountain Accessible Trails in Greenfield. Exact meeting location will be provided prior to the event. Space is limited, and registration is required.
