The Lone Mountain Artists — Evelien Bachrach-Seeger, Judy Badot, Carole-Anne Centre, Gundy Khouw, Rita Klug, Maria M. Mead, and Martine Villalard-Bohnsack — meet weekly at the Harris Center to practice their craft, exchange ideas and techniques, and celebrate their longstanding friendship.

Their exhibit, Connected to Nature, showcases seven unique artistic perspectives, each inspired by their personal connections to nature and to the Harris Center itself. Using a variety of media — including watercolor, oil, color pencils, pastels, and pen and ink — each artist captures her own vision of the natural world, ranging from the serious to the whimsical and from the traditional to the exploratory.

This exhibit will be on display from October 1 to 30 in the Thelma Babbitt Room, and is available to view during regular business hours. A reception will be held on Friday, October 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. No registration is required. For more information, contact Miles Stahmann.

About the Lone Mountain Artists

The Lone Mountain Artists, formed in 2007, grew from the camaraderie of Evelien Bachrach-Seeger’s watercolor classes at the Sharon Arts Center with the goal of supporting, inspiring, and learning from one another. Their art highlights the beauty and vulnerability of the natural world, with a focus on the New England landscape and the Monadnock Region.
