Join a kettle of raptor enthusiasts for this morning of hawkwatching, birds of prey activities, and a real live Red-tailed Hawk on the hand of a NH Audubon educator! Meade Cadot, Francie Von Mertens, Phil Brown, Susie Spikol, and Hilary Chapman will all be on hand to celebrate 50 years of Harris Center hawkwatching where it all began, on Blueberry Ridge. This program is a great way for families to learn how to scan the skies for these amazing birds. 9 a.m. to noon at Crotched Mountain in Greenfield.

To get there from Route 31 in Greenfield, turn up the hill at the sign for the Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center. Proceed just past the Center’s entrance to the trail parking on the left. From there, it’s a 10- to 15-minute hike on Crotched Mountan’s accessible trails to the observation platform. For more information, contact Phil or Susie.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and NH Audubon.
