Join Mike Gagnon and Matt Tarr of UNH Extension for a relaxed ramble focused on tree and shrub identification. Together, we’ll examine branching patterns and the shapes of newly-emerged leaves, and discuss the species we encounter from both an ecological and economic perspective. Bring binoculars for seeing leaves in the treetops and a hand lens (if you have one) for examining buds and other small details, and come prepared for biting insects.

4 to 6 p.m. at the Harris Center. Space is limited, and registration is required. For general information about Harris Center field trips, including questions about accessibility, see our Outings Information page. For questions about this particular outing, please contact Mike.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and UNH Cooperative Extension.
