While many places experience severe weather, few are inhabited by humans 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Mount Washington Observatory (MWO) has been operating a continuously-staffed scientific outpost on 6,288-foot Mount Washington in northern New Hampshire since 1932, providing many remarkable stories and an intimate knowledge of the mountain. Join MWO’s Will Broussard for a journey into the alpine zone and the unique life and work of the weather observers stationed at the top of New England. 7 to 8 p.m. at the Harris Center. Cosponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education, the Hancock Town Library, and the GEP Dodge Library.
