Join Eric Aldrich of The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and Jeremy Wilson, forest ecologist and Harris Center Executive Director, for an introduction to the ecology of wildfire. Eric will share his personal experiences with controlled burns, fighting wildfires, and working with TNC’s Living with Fire program. Jeremy will introduce some of the complex interactions influencing the intensity and frequency of wildland fires, including climate change, past fire and forest management, insect infestations, and human settlement patterns.
