SUMMARY:Kestrel Nest Monitoring Training: Part II (Field)
DESCRIPTION:The American Kestrel is one of our smallest local raptors and a species of special concern in New Hampshire. This year\, the Harris Center is launching a new Kestrel monitoring initiative\, starting with training volunteers to collect baseline data about Kestrel breeding across the Monadnock Region. Come help in the exciting early stages of this new project! During this field training with Harris Center Bird Conservation Director Phil Brown and special guests\, we’ll caravan to several Kestrel breeding territories\, where we’ll learn how to monitor this iconic raptor species. Interested volunteers are also asked to attend the virtual training on April 28. \n8 a.m. to noon. Location and other details will be provided upon registration. This event is now full.
