We’ll cover a total distance of 0.75 miles along a gentle incline of approx. 100 feet in elevation. Bring a snack and plenty of water\, dress for the weather (including cold north winds at the summit)\, and come prepared with ice traction if the ground is frozen. \n10 a.m. to noon at High Five Reservation in Deering. DESCRIPTION:Join raptor expert Phil Brown for a hawkwatching outing to Wilson Hill at the High Five Reservation in Deering. This location has excellent views to the north and west\, and is a good place to observe migrating raptors\, as well as fall foliage. Expect a short hike (1/3 mile) with moderate elevation gain along a gravel road to the cleared summit of Wilson Hill. \n11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at High Five Reservation in Deering. Bring binoculars\, a camera\, field guides\, lunch\, and water\, and dress for the weather. \nSpace is limited\, and registration is required.
