Julia is a senior at Keene State College, where she majors in Environmental Studies with dual minors in Biology and Studio Art. She is interested in the strong connections between nature and art. She also works as a KSC Eco-Rep, promoting a culture of sustainability across campus.
She grew up in Woodbury, Connecticut, where she first found her love for the environment through hiking, camping, and other outdoor adventures. After graduation, she hopes to travel and pursue a career in conservation while continuing to advocate for the environment.
She is one of four KSC students who were hired in 2019 to conduct ecological research, assist with stewardship and environmental education activities, and gain specialized training and firsthand experience with many facets of the Harris Center’s diverse conservation and education work as part of our summer conservation internship partnership with KSC.
