Support Saw-whet Science in the SuperSanctuary
Owl adoptions make for fun and unique gifts – for friends, family, or yourself – and they’re also a great way to support conservation research at the Harris Center.
With your saw-whet owl adoption, you’ll receive a certificate that includes the owl’s band number, age, sex, weight, and the date it was banded. We’ll also notify you if your owl is encountered again anywhere in North America!
The Harris Center’s saw-whet owl banding program offers an extraordinary opportunity to connect with wildlife while advancing scientific understanding of this charismatic species. Owl adoptions help to cover ongoing costs associated with this long-term research project, such as staff time and specialized equipment. Thank you for supporting this important work by adopting an owl!
Note: Fall is a busy time of year at the Harris Center. Adoption certificate processing times may take up to two weeks.
