This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, the most important bird protection law in U.S. history. In honor of this milestone, 2018 has been declared “Year of the Bird.” Join Meade Cadot and Francie Von Mertens for a celebratory, 2.5-mile hike up the Marion Davis Trail and down the Pack Monadnock summit road at a leisurely birdwatching pace. Meet at 8 a.m. at the Miller State Park parking area off Route 101 in Peterborough. Back by noon. Bring binoculars and the $4 park entry fee. Cosponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and New Hampshire Audubon.

For more information, contact Meade (603-525-3394 or by email) or Francie (603-924-6550 or by email).
