Conservation Easement Monitoring Intern

Alec is an ecologist and photographer from New Jersey with a passion for ecological management and land conservation. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2017 with a BS in Environmental Conservation and Sustainability. Currently, he’s a master’s student in Conservation Biology at Antioch University New England, with a concentration in applied ecology and spatial analysis. He’s also the GIS Graduate Fellow with the Antioch Spatial Analysis Lab, where he manages data for a variety of projects and creates interactive maps to engage community members and stakeholders. In his free time, Alec enjoys hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, skiing, and bird watching with his fiancé.

In his 2021 internship with the Harris Center, Alec will be monitoring conservation easements as part of our land protection and stewardship program.
