Alivia Acosta is from Yonkers, NY and is currently finishing her BS in Parks and Forest Resources at Unity College after taking a three-year hiatus. During that time, Alivia was gaining valuable experience working in the trails industry. In her summer 2019 and 2020 internships with the Harris Center, Alivia is monitoring conservation easements and assisting with trail work as part of our land protection and stewardship program.
When she’s not marveling at the beauty of southern New Hampshire with the Harris Center, she can be found working from her computer as a National Service Coordinator intern for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy or hiking local trails with a pair of loppers.
Before continuing her path to higher education, Alivia hopes to gain more experience in outdoor recreation management and stewardship, as well as diversity, equity and inclusion in the environmental field.
