Ayushma (she/her) is a rising senior at Keene State College working towards a BS in Environmental Studies, with a minor in Sustainability.
Having spent her younger years in a rural village in Nepal, she developed a deep love for the outdoors, which eventually led to her interest and awe of the wilderness around her –encouraging her to pursue a career in natural sciences.
On campus, Ayushma spends her time helping run the Environmental Studies and Sustainability Club as vice-president.
She is from Hooksett, New Hampshire. Outside of school, Ayushma enjoys drawing, sculpting, and rock collecting — especially fossils! After college, she hopes to follow the direction of field collection or communal work, where she hopes to someday make a difference in her own community.
Ayushma is one of four KSC students hired in 2026 to conduct ecological research, assist with stewardship and environmental education activities, and gain specialized training and firsthand experience with many facets of the Harris Center’s work as part of our summer conservation internship partnership with KSC.
