Daniel grew up in Massachusetts, where he spent his free time camping, hiking, and staring into tidal pools to see how many small creatures had gotten left behind when the tide went out. While earning his undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies from Marlboro College in Vermont, he worked for the college’s outdoor recreation program and spent his summer breaks volunteering for conservation organizations.
Since graduating, he has worked on two research projects, and as a paraeducator and substitute teacher for a public school system. He is currently studying Conservation Biology in the master’s degree program at Antioch University New England.
During his 2022 internship with the Harris Center, Daniel will be monitoring conservation easements as part of our land protection and stewardship program.
