Joe Wiley

Conservation Easement Monitoring Intern

Joe Wiley, in a plaid flannel shirt and cap, standing in front of several trees.

Joe Wiley is heading into his senior year at Keene State College, where he studies Geography. He has lived in southern New Hampshire his whole life. In 2018, Joe took a gap year from college and served with AmeriCorps NCCC in Colorado, Arizona, and Arkansas, working on projects ranging from affordable housing development to sustainable agriculture to environmental education. He graduated the program as his unit’s Corps Member of the Year. He enjoys exploring the forests around him, and is always looking to learn more.

When he’s not interning with the Harris Center or studying at Keene State College, you can find Joe volunteering with local CSA farms, performing as a vocalist and drummer with his band, or working as a firefighter and EMT in his hometown of Rindge, NH.

In his 2021 internship with the Harris Center, Joe will be monitoring conservation easements as part of our land protection and stewardship program.
