Mickayla is a senior at Keene State College, where she is majoring in Biology and minoring in Environmental Studies. She grew up in Derry, NH, and enjoyed exploring the woods and taking care of her many pets, which sparked a passion for all animals at a young age. In the future, she hopes to work as an exotic wildlife rehabilitator and biologist, with a focus on big cats.
She is one of four KSC students who were hired in 2017 to conduct ecological research, assist with stewardship and environmental education activities, and gain specialized training and firsthand experience with many facets of the Harris Center’s diverse conservation and education work as part of our summer conservation internship program with the KSC Environmental Studies Department.
