Rachel Ranelli, standing on the summit of Mount Monadnock with her arms in the air on a bluebird day.Rachel is a junior at Franklin Pierce University, where she is pursuing a BS in Environmental Science, with a minor in Chemistry and a certificate in Sustainability.

She grew up in northern Connecticut, spending time hiking, biking, and camping all throughout New England.

Rachel is particularly interested in agriculture, sustainability, and climate change. While she is considering a variety of paths, she hopes to have a career that allows her to help people adapt to the future of protecting the planet, and to make a difference through environmental work.

During her 2022 internship with the Harris Center, she is providing invaluable planning and organizational support for the Monadnock Region Natural History Conference.
