KSC Conservation Intern & Salamander Brigade Intern

Ryan Rotigliano looks down at a spotted salamander that he is holding in his hands.Ryan (he/him) is a senior at Keene State College, pursuing a BS in Environmental Studies with minors in Astronomy and Sustainability. He is also the general manager of WKNH, KSC’s student-run radio station; an intern with the KSC Office of Sustainability; and the treasurer of Eco-Reps, an on-campus club focused on providing sustainability resources for students.

Ryan is from Bellingham, Massachusetts. His love for the outdoors began during childhood trips to national parks and other wild places. He has a passion for the Pacific Northwest and hopes to do forest conservation work there after college.

Ryan is one of four KSC students who were hired in 2023 to conduct ecological research, assist with stewardship and environmental education activities, and gain specialized training and firsthand experience with many facets of the Harris Center’s work as part of our summer conservation internship partnership with KSC. This experience only increased his drive to protect forest ecosystems and all the creatures that inhabit those spaces. In the spring of 2025, he returned to assist with our Salamander Crossing Brigade community science program.
