As a 3rd grade teacher at Chesterfield School, Tina Ramsey has successfully developed a year-long study of local birds that helps her students build their science, writing, math, and reading skills while also building their confidence and comfort in outdoor learning. Tina will explain how community connections make the many bird related projects possible and help build important relationships between the school and the greater community.

We created the Teacher Talk series to shine a light on nature-based teaching in the Monadnock Region. This year the Harris Center will offer a series of three teacher talks; autumn, winter, and spring. Each talk will be presented by a local elementary school teacher and will highlight how they create and guide nature-based learning experiences for their students.

4:15 to 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. To get the login details, register here. For more information, contact Jenna Spear or Jaime Hutchinson.

This event will be recorded. To ensure access to the recording, please register for this event, even if you cannot attend live.
