Join Hancock author Kim Varney Chandler for the launch of her book, Covered Bridges of New Hampshire. There are over 60 authentic covered bridges in New Hampshire, 46 of which are more than a century old. These bridges exist today solely because of the efforts of a small but powerful community who both recognized their significance and honored their tradition.

In researching this book, Chandler partnered with bridgewrights, timber framers, engineers, historical societies, town offices, libraries, state and national organizations, and community members to compile extensive histories of each covered bridge in the Granite State. These bridges are an integral part of the fabric of New Hampshire’s history, and each one has its own story to tell. Come hear some of them and meet the author as we celebrate the launch of this beautiful new book!

Unfortunately, this event has been CANCELED due to illness and winter weather, but keep your eye out for a covered bridge talk and field trip in the spring! For more information, please contact Susie Spikol.
