Suzanne Simard’s acclaimed book, Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest, is a rare combination: a rigorous account of a recent scientific breakthrough in how we understand forests, as well as a personal memoir and reflection by one of the scientists who led the way. Join instructor Matthew Myer Boulton for a three-part walk through Simard’s masterpiece – one that’s sure to enrich your experience of the woods.
This group meets on Fridays, October 21 & 28 and November 4, from 1 to 2 p.m. via Zoom.
Cost: $30 for Harris Center supporters / $50 for all others
Instructor: Matthew Myer Boulton is a former faculty member at Harvard Divinity School, and a writer and filmmaker living in Keene.
