Join Harris Center teacher-naturalists Jenna Spear and Jaime Hutchinson for an inspiring workshop designed to energize and prepare pre-K through 2nd grade teachers for outdoor learning. Through imaginative play, storytelling, games, and hands-on activities, you’ll discover engaging ways to help young children deepen their connections to the natural world while building observation skills, vocabulary, and curiosity. Learn how to create a story cloth for focused outdoor exploration, gather practical ideas for Morning Meeting and nature study, and leave with ready-to-use materials and resources for your classroom. You’ll also enjoy time connecting with fellow educators and sharing ideas for bringing more joyful, nature-based learning into the school day.

9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Harris Center. Cost: $70. Space is limited to 20 attendees, and registration is required by October 23. For questions about the event, including accessibility, please contact Jaime Hutchinson.
