Film Showing: “Monadnock: The Mountain That Stands Alone”
Thursday, January 25, 2024,
7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Now the second most climbed peak in the world, Mount Monadnock was revered by the Abenaki, ignored by the first European settlers, and beloved by artists from Thayer to Thoreau. Join us for a special, big-screen showing of this acclaimed local documentary, which uses cinematography, original music, and archival images to tell the story of “our” mountain. Following the film, filmmaker Daniel White will be on hand for Q&A.
7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Putnam Theater at Keene State College. Space is limited, and registration is strongly encouraged. For more information, including questions about accessibility, contact Brett Amy Thelen.
Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education, the KSC Film Society, and Rabbit Ear Films.
