Join Denny Wheeler and Brian Bishoff for a moderately strenuous, 5-mile hike on trails and woods roads to scenic Stoddard Rocks above Pioneer Lake. We’ll start out at the Forest Society’s Pickerel Cove Forest before crossing into land conserved by the Town of Stoddard. Expect about 650 feet of elevation gain. Come prepared with snowshoes or ice traction, or contact us in advance to borrow some from us. Bring lunch, and meet at the Pickerel Cove trailhead on Shedd Hill Road in Stoddard at 9 a.m. Back by 3 p.m. Overflow parking is available at the Highland Lake Marina.
