An engraving by Camille Flammarion depicting the night sky, ca. 1888.

Winter is a wonderful time to experience the night sky, as longer nights and cold, dry weather make for fantastic star gazing. Join David McDonald of the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center to find out what to look for in the winter sky, including how to find specific constellations. He’ll also show us the sky as it is this very night, using special software to highlight planets, galaxies, and other celestial objects.

7 to 8 p.m. via Zoom. To get the login details, please register here. If the Zoom room has reached capacity, you can also watch this program live on our YouTube Channel.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center.
