In 2018, a grid of 30 solar panels was installed on the Harris Center’s southeast-facing roofs. Collectively, this system is expected to produce approximately 8,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity annually – about half of the energy required to keep our building running each year.
This photovoltaic project is a huge step towards reducing our reliance on fossil fuels, and was made possible by a generous bequest from a Harris Center supporter. We are deeply grateful to her – and to all who have included the Harris Center in their estate planning.

The Harris Center's 30-panel photovoltaic system should generate approximately 8,000 kwh annually – about half of the energy required to keep our green building running each year.
