Terry (she/her) grew up in Brooklyn, New York, but has lived in New England most of her adult life. She and her husband Dave raised their two daughters in Brookline, Massachusetts, and began coming to the Monadnock region, originally Dublin, when the girls were very young. The family enjoys hiking, kayaking, swimming, and spending lots of time outdoors.

In 2021, Terry and Dave bought a house in Hancock with 100 acres of land under a Harris Center easement, located in the heart of the SuperSanctuary. They have since been working to naturalize the property by replacing lawns with meadows and planting native species. Their efforts have been rewarded with a dramatic increase in birds, butterflies and fireflies, as well as other animals like a bobcat and her baby that roam the fields.

Terry graduated from Yale College and Yale Law School. She has worked at the Boston law firm Foley Hoag LLP for over 30 years and recently served two terms on the firm’s Executive Committee. She continues to practice law as a partner in the firm’s tax department and splits her time between Boston and Hancock. Terry enjoys kayaking in the summer, walking year-round, and relaxing on the back porch with a good book or simply taking in the mountains and beautiful sky.
