Tom got his start in Flushing, NY, where he was lucky enough to live across the street from Kissena Park. The park — and birdwatching trips with his Uncle Al — gave him a permanent appreciation and love of nature. For 30 years, he lived in Wilton, CT, where he served on the board of the local land trust and on the town’s Inland Wetlands Commission.
Tom taught high school social studies for 35 years. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from LeMoyne College and a master’s degree in history from City College.
He currently serves on the ConVal School Board and is the chair of the Peterborough Democrats. Tom and his wife, Jackie, love the beauty of the Monadnock Region. His hobbies include birdwatching, reading, and traveling.
