Laurel Feindel, KSC Conservation Intern

Laurel (she/her) is a senior at Keene State College with an Environmental Studies Major and an Education Minor. She is involved on campus as the President of the Environmental and Sustainability Studies Club, and as a Sustainability Intern.

Hailing from Ellington, Connecticut, she grew up with camping, skiing, and gardening as her favorite outdoor activities, along with being involved in Girl Scouts. Through her experiences, she learned how important and fulfilling it is to be within nature.

Laurel has a large love for nature and aims to pursue environmental education to teach young minds about the wonders of nature and science.

She is one of four KSC students hired in 2026 to conduct ecological research, assist with stewardship and environmental education activities, and gain specialized training and firsthand experience with many facets of the Harris Center’s work as part of our summer conservation internship partnership with KSC.
