The Greatest Show Above Earth
Every autumn, as thousands of raptors pass over the Monadnock Region on their way to southern wintering grounds, Pack Monadnock Raptor Observatory staff and volunteers tally the birds as part of an international monitoring effort. Catch up on the migration magic with these field reports and photographs from past seasons at Pack, starting with 2020. You can also find annual summaries of Pack Monadnock migration data from recent years here, and detailed historic data — including hourly raptor count and weather data, non-raptor observations, special notes, and season totals — on hawkcount.org.
