Join expert birder and naturalist Phil Brown as we take to the SuperSanctuary in search of birds. We’ll observe fascinating bird behaviors and study the vocalizations of many species in depth. We’ll also learn about each group’s unique adaptations to finding food, migrating, and raising young.
Dates: This Environmental Studies Institute course will meet on Thursdays, April 26, May 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 8 to 11 a.m. at local field sites.
Cost: $120 for Harris Center members / $140 for non-members
Instructor: Phil Brown is a lifelong bird enthusiast who has traveled extensively in search of birds. He’s a frequent field trip leader for the Harris Center and New Hampshire Audubon, where he coordinates their raptor observatories and manages wildlife habitat at Willard Pond and other sanctuaries. He’s also the winner of several birding competitions, including NJ Audubon’s World Series of Birding, Mass Audubon’s Super Bowl of Birding, and NH Audubon’s Birdathon. Phil lives in Hancock with his wife, Julie, and their two young children.
