Join naturalists Wendy Ward, Michael Nerrie, and Nate Marchessault for a morning of birding along the Distant Hill Nature Trail, a wheelchair- and stroller-accessible hard-packed gravel trail that winds through a rich hardwood-hemlock forest. Breeding birds will have just arrived and will be singing enthusiastically to defend territories and attract mates, so we’ll let our ears and eyes guide us through the forest!

Birding for All outings are designed for people of all abilities, including those who experience accessibility challenges due to a disability or other health concern. Beginning birders welcome! Bring binoculars (or borrow a pair from us), and come prepared for sun and biting insects.

8 to 10 a.m. at the Distant Hill Nature Trail in Alstead. Exact meeting location will be provided upon registration. For more detailed accessibility information about this site, see the Distant Hill listing on the Birdability Map. Space is limited, and registration is required.

For general information about Harris Center field trips, see our Outings Information page. For more information about this particular outing, contact Nate.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and Distant Hill Gardens & Nature Trail.
