Join naturalists and bug lovers Jaime Hutchinson and Susie Spikol for an hour-long adventure into the world of backyard bugs! Discover the fascinating worlds of invertebrates as we search for slugs, grasshoppers, leafhoppers, crickets, caterpillars, inchworms, and so much more. Learn to use the tools of invertebrate scientists, including sweep nets, beater sheets, pooters, magnifiers, microscopes, and bug hotels. Don’t worry if it rains — we’ll come with our own bugs to share!

3 to 4 p.m. at the Hancock Town Library. For children ages 6 and up. Free of charge. Space is limited, and registration is required.
