- This event has passed.
Join naturalist Susie Spikol for this special opportunity to read and discuss John Kulish’s 1969 classic, Bobcats Before Breakfast. John Kulish was the Harris Center’s first naturalist. In celebration of the Harris Center’s 50th Anniversary, his book, out of print for several decades, is being re-published. Let’s gather together and read not only Bobcats Before Breakfast, but also what author Howard Mansfield had to say about John Kulish in his book, Same Ax Twice. Together, we’ll examine the legacy of this trapper-turned-conservationist and discuss how John’s book reflects a way of looking at the natural world that is very different than today.
This Environmental Studies Institute course meets Thursdays, November 21, December 5 and 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Harris Center.
Cost: $30 for Harris Center donors / $50 all others
Registration is required. For more information or to register, contact Sara LeFebvre at (603) 525-3394 or by email.
