Everyone’s Trash with Duncan Watson
Saturday, January 11, 2025,
2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Every day, each person in the United States generates an average of five pounds of waste. This adds up to 1.6 billion pounds of trash daily, and every bit of it has a story. Join storyteller and longtime recycling center manager Duncan Watson for a talk and discussion inspired by his new book, Everyone’s Trash, which author Sy Montgomery has hailed as “hilarious and heartwarming, distressing and hopeful…a testament to the power of connection, compassion, and community.” Books will be available for sale and signing after the talk.
2 to 3 p.m. at the Hancock Town Library. Space is limited, and registration is required. For more information, including questions about accessibility, contact Brett Amy Thelen.
Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and the Hancock Town Library.
