Join Stan Smith and Vic Starzynski for a 5-mile roundtrip hike through the wilds of the SuperSanctuary. We’ll start at the end of King’s Highway along Nubanusit Lake and then take a bearing by compass to White Swamp. From White Swamp, we’ll change course and head to Spoonwood Pond, eventually following the shoreline back to our starting point. Bring lunch and plenty of water, and come prepared for bushwhacking through moderately-strenuous terrain in an area rarely frequented by people.

Meet at the Harris Center at 9 a.m. for a short carpool to our starting point. Back by 2 p.m. Space is limited, and registration is required.

For general information about Harris Center field trips, see our Outings Information page. For questions about this particular outing, including questions about accessibility, contact Phil Brown.
