Monadnock Region Geology Hike
Saturday, October 19,
9:00 am to 1:00 pm
The 400,000,000-year-old geologic history of the Monadnock Region can be seen in a variety of bedrock and surficial geologic exposures in and around Rindge. Join Frederick Rogers, Geology Professor at Franklin Pierce University, for a moderately strenuous geologic exploration of the area, including a 3-mile roundtrip hike on Mount Watatic trails, just over the state line in Massachusetts.
Wear sturdy footwear, bring lunch, and meet at 9 a.m. at the Peterson Manor parking lot at Franklin Pierce University, off University Drive in Rindge. Back by 1 p.m. For more information, please contact Eric Masterson at (603) 525-3394 or by email.
